Diablo III
I'm just curious, with the release of D3 may 15th, how many of you will be getting consumed by it?

Re: Diablo III
Only way I see myself playing that is if someone gifts me a copy. I've had it with Activision taking great games and turning them into crap in pursuit of their CEO's mandate "We take the fun out of videogames and make it a business".
If I want to get my dungeon crawler and item porn on, I will stick with http://www.torchlight2game.com/.
Lan and Offline play and no real money auction house and always on internet crap.

I will give it a go at the very least. It seems promising, and I owe it to the story up to this point to finish. I have a lot of history with the game.

I actually misplace my authenticator so I wasn't able to play that weekend, tho I'm looking forward to it. Now if only it would let me install it already....guess I need to wait for the 15th >><<

Re: Diablo III
SO anyone else going to be staying up on the 14th to start playing as soon as its released? If so, anyone want to jump right into playing in Multiplayer?

I have a tight cadre of friends that I went to college with that are still nearby, and we had a discussion much akin to that question. We decided that, while we could easily stay up and do it that way, we were going to wait till like 10:am on Tuesday to start on our epic journey.

Re: Diablo III
Nostalgia got the better of me. Unlike other activision games Diablo is still a good series. However the DRM is highly unnecessary and the real money auction house is only going to ruin the game, if it hasn't already with not being able to play offline. It's already been exploited to all hell with chest farming and encourages hacking. I haven't been pleased with how Blizzard handles customer support but the gameplay is flawless.Istbor wrote:I thought you swore it off swizzy

Re: Diablo III
Okay so I log on today and my account was hacked. What type of dog and pony show is Blizz-activision running? I knew I would regret dealing with this company. Wonder how much stuff they will wipe to recover my account since my stash had 2 legendaries in it? I just ran a malware search on my computer the day before and haven't joined any forums or used the same password for anything. I use a random generator for my passwords and don't know any of them except the one to log on to my computer.

Re: Diablo III
I heard (from comments so it could be completely off base) that people are able to take your session information or something if you group up with people you dont know to play. Then they just spoof it, and use it to get into your account. Once again, I have no idea if this is true, but Im sticking to not playing with anyone I dont know.

Re: Diablo III
I've only played one game outside of single player and that was with opedog. I doubt he is a hacker. No clue. I reformatted everything change all my passwords and order one of those authenticators because apparently you need them to play any Blizzard game.
