Why and how would that affect you? I suppose if one is outdoors and your computer can handle loading everything, but in a narrow tunnel there is less to load. Should be fine then. Odd Xact, odd.

Sign me up for the railway crew. I'm ready to dig some tunnels and lay some track!

Once we start the new map I also plan on focusing on resource gathering for the new city. So if you need some mats let me know.

I like the idea of not using teleports, or at least a cool down time of one per hour or something.

Some ideas for spawn city:
-Some sort of lore/story for people to read when they first enter. Rich vs Poor or something.Evil wealthy family who controls everything (just an idea lol)
-Docks district
-Monorail
-Airship Port
-Evil Tower of Rich Family
-Redstone gadgets/machines like moving pistons, blinking lights, glass tunnels with minecarts moving through them throughout the city (kinda like futurerama)
-Underwater laboratory
-Prison/Dungeon
-Train Station
-Portal Area (Above ground?) portal directly to Atlantis University, Pvp and/or game area, The End, The Nether, Creative map

Other city ideas:
-Floating city using fans or something
-Tree City

ok we're set. for now it's just the one world but once multiverse gets set up we'll get the rest of them going. come in and start working. First line of business is to set up our underground workshop area in the ravine behind the reeds acorss the bay from spawn. We already found a normal spider spawner for our xp grinder and we're connected to an abandoned mine shaft so we hope to find more spawners.

I like some of those ideas for city, alot of neat and creatively used moving parts can make it look interesting, so long as we don't get too busy you know?

I porpose a nice mage tower for enchanting tables and portals. Since they decided to throw magic or at the least alchemy into MC I say we embrace it and use it for aesthetics.

Im getting pretty excited. Im eager to start laying brick down for this city. By the way, should we recreate the mini map plans here as well once we begin construction? Or should we make a larger more in depth one? Either way, I think we should have something laid out and planned for organisation sake, at least in the beginning for main streets and important buildings.

a new minimap would be a good idea. Should it be indoors or outside?

Not sure? Are we currently at the build site? Or are we going for the search out location yet?

yeah I'd like to recreate the city plan there maybe if everyone wants to add to it we can mock it out based on the terrain.

Now you're cooking prait!

I'm electing to construct a mage-tower for our portals to multi-verse and to house the enchanting shop/area. Just wondering if anyone has an objection. I would like to get started later tonight, after work.

ok by me, just mark the location on the blueprint and maybe post it here. probably a good build to locate off the main square. if we have settled on our road design ideas we can start laying roads.

I like the stone blocks with the gutter
just throwing my two cents in there.

Is there a defined color scheme that we want to try to stick to?

nah, I think we can use our judgement and just try to make things fit together somewhat. No need to make it too cookie cutter.

I think that works out better. I was touring the voxelbox server and the strict color scheme theme builds just look inorganic.

What do you guys think about a lighting system that lights up the harbor area at night time with a switch in the Harbormasters Building?

This is a quick mock up I did for what I'm thinking of for the initial layout. I built this in the desert near kora's pyramid if you wanna go read the signs and look at it.

I freaking love it lol, its soooo cute little mock up!!

what would be cool is to use the tiny block mod to do a map of the city if they had multiplayer support haha but that is just my imagination going wild..
