Better than wolves

We made the switch to Better than wolves SMP last night. This means you'll no longer need to log in using your tekkit launcher. You can keep it for the SSP games or whatever just go back to using your minecraft launcher. You'll need to modify your jar to install BTW. It's very simple and the instructions are very detailed. The differences between BTW and Vanilla if you are not interested in the tech are almost non existant. I would like to eventually enable all the hardcore modes for more of a challenge but for now they are turned off. The biggest change for us will be the loss of all the bukkit plugins. We'll no longer have access to /home /spawn or any of the protections we are used to. As such we'll be taking a harsher stance against ass-hattery. If anyone maliciously damages the world or other players property they will be banned by the first available OP. I'm sure that most of our current player base this is not an issue for but we have some old players we haven't seen in a long time still on the whitelist.

I recommend if you have or have in the past used any mods that you delete the contents of your minecraft.jar and run the game to install a clean jar. Then start the btw install process as described in the thread. If you have a problem there Tam has provided a copy of his jar which includes a mini map and optifine
