SERVER UPDATE 1.4.6 (instructions inside)

We now are running what appears to be a stable version of 1.4.6 Very Happy

To install the correct mods, run your feed the beast launcher and select the "Mindcrack" mod pack. Once it installs quit out and now you will need to add a few mods to it to make sure it works on our server.

First we need to update the version of forge we are using(fixes mystcraft bug):

Ok it looks like the minecraft forge download is broken this morning(12/26/12):
Use this link instead:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/33118233/MinecraftForge.zip

click the link in the post to get the latest universal version. Once you have that downloaded, navigate to your feed the beast\minecrack folder again and place the new forge zipfile in the instMods directory. Once you do that delete the old MinecraftForge.zip and rename the new one MinecraftForge.zip.


Now Get these three mod's with the versions listed or it will not work:

Inventory Tweaks(1.4.6):

Mystcraft(Version 0.9.5.00):

Portal Gun Mod(version 1 not the "updated" one as it bugs out):

If the portal gun mod link doesn't work, just google portal gun mod and it will show up. On his page goto mods->portal->downloads and you will see the download for 1.4.6version 1.

To install these mods into the Mindcrack pack, navigate to the mindcrack directory in your feed the beast folder(you can see where this is located by running the launcher and looking under the options tab). Once there go into the minecraft folder, and place the zip files in the mods folder.

Finally we need to make one change to a config file to ensure compatability with our existing map. Go into the config folder and find the Obsidiplates.cfg file and open it.

Next find the line that says:
I:obsidianPlate=1555

and change it to:

I:obsidianPlate=2468


Finally save the file and run the laucnher and select the mindcrack pack and all should run smoothly.

I wish there was an easier way to do this, but for now there isnt. In the future If they rollout the "custom pack" for anyone Ill try and get one setup for the server to make this automatic from now on.

EDIT: Updated instructions - fixes forge/mystcraft problem.

Verified this fixed the issue with crashing the server when trying to enter a new myst age.

All seems well now, if you have problems..( :p )..any questions regarding the server let me know. I should be back on in the morning.
