Server commands

Post  opedog on Mon Apr 04, 2011 2:11 pm

Hey all, just wanted to write up a quick post about the server commands available to you.

/rules: A concise version of the server rules.
/motd: Prints the message of the day.

/tpa: This is just like the /tp we're all used, except it asks the target if they want to accept.
/tpaccept: If you're the target of a /tpa, this will accept the teleportee.
/tpdeny: If you're the target of a /tpa, this will deny the teleportee.
/tptoggle: If you'd rather not be the target of teleports, this will turn it off/on.
/spawn: This will teleport you to spawn.
/msg [name] [message]: This will send a message to [name].
/playerlist: Prints a list of players currently on.
/afk: Turns on afk mode.
/warp: This will list the current warps available.
/warp [name]: Will warp you to the location given by [name]. We may remove this functionality since we have such a full-featured minecart plugin and because Prait is building such a robust minecart system.
/sethome: Sets a home point.
/home: teleports you to your home point.

Other new features:
  • Kid group: In order to keep chat PG rated, we've added a permissions group called Kid. This puts a Kid prefix in green in front of their name.
  • Heal signs: Located in major hubs, right click a heal sign to be given full health.
  • Disposal signs: Right click this sign to open a chest interface and drop in some items to permanently throw away.
  • Trade signs: Tutorial to follow.

We now have the ability to trade via signs! Hopefully you will like this feature. To use it:

  1. Have the items in your inventory you want to put up for trade.
  2. Create a sign and place it where appropriate.
  3. Line 1 must be [Trade]
  4. Line 2 must be formatted like this: <number of items to accept> <item name or number>
  5. Line 3 must be formatted like this: <number of items to give per trade> <item name or number>:<total number of items> (note the colon)

Here is a list of item numbers if the plaintext item name won't work (or fit): Item Numbers. Use the number in the column marked Dec.

For instance: in the workshop is a sign to trade 1 diamond for 64 glowstone created by the admins.

Line 1: [Trade]
Line 2: 1 diamond
Line 3: 64 89:512

If done correctly, the sign will look like this:

Line 1: [Trade]
Line 2: 1 diamond:0
Line 3: 64 89:512
Line 4: opedog

If you didn't format the sign correctly, it might look like this:

Line 1: [Trade]
Line 2: # item:0
Line 3: # item:0
Line 4: opedog

To use the sign, hold the item you're trading, then right click. The item will be removed and given to the sign and you will be given the quantity of the item given on the sign.

Sign owners: If someone has used your sign, a number will be displayed after the colon in line 2. For instance:

Line 1: [Trade]
Line 2: 1 diamond:1
Line 3: 64 89:448
Line 4: opedog

This means I have 1 diamond waiting to be picked up. All you have to do is click on the sign (left- or right-click, I don't think it matters) and your payment will be put in your inventory.

I don't know what happens if your inventory is full, so make sure you've got room there.
