ZOMG on the giant music box thingy.

Its like the minecraft world just discovered punchcard computing! you could take this and make a "data tape" and store as much as you can bear to encode in blocks!

oh, that gives me some ideas on how to re-work my treehouse dance floor Smile

on another piston note, I learned that pistons don't appear to lift water blocks. I had an idea for a device to "vend" single water blocks to fill your bucket with (it would grab the center block from a 3 block source), but when it is supposed to lift the block up it just disappears. I was sad. I haven't tried pushing it to the side yet.

yeah you can't push water or ice. He was playing in SSP, massive amounts of pistons like that gets super laggy and annoyingly loud. I had maybe 15 going at once on a project and scrapped it about 20 seconds after I started it as too annoying. I thought about the punch card idea too. You could have a pretty consistent music box with this if you could stand the piston effects.
