I'm surprised by the turn out here. I thought more people were against warps than this seems to indicate. Have people not voted? I know we have a lot more people on the server.

Out of curiosity you guys didn't choose other did you? I probably should have been more specific. This vote is only in regards to the /warp command. We'll settle other commands afterwards. The other option would be if you wanted something along the lines of Specific locations for warp only, Specific groups only to have warp, whatever suggestions you have in relation to warp.

due in no small part to ambiguity on my part this poll has just left me further confused. I think I gather that the split is fairly close with a slight majority to the side of removing warp command. So what I will do is remove the warp command from the general populace and leave it as an op only ability due to its usefulness for special projects. Besides the fact that I can't remove the ability entirely as it's part of the same plugin that lets us do other things. The next step, which I will do over the weekend at some point is get us set up with a portal system for travel between worlds. Some of you may have experience life without warps today as I screwed up last night. I began the process of updating our plugins, got distracted by Praits test server and realized due to massive bugs there was no way I would risk the server on the upgrade and stopped what I was doing. Unfortunately I had deleted the group manager plugin because it is now part of essentials and forgot that it would be missing when the server restarted for maintenance. So you guys who are playing are going to be playing real vanilla today Smile I'll get it fixed tonight or Ope might be able to fix it today some time.

Lol, if anyone complains about having to play vanilla style for a day or so they ought to be slapped with a strip of bacon and told to starve. I am glad to see warps gone for sure, but yes for special projects it will be good to hold onto the possibility of using them (as some projects may be unable to be naturally traveled to).

With this in mind, perhaps we should get an event together some time within the next week for a Highway design and build project? With a group we can knock out a decent highway / road system (for those who don't want to use rails? / if for ANY reason rail system fails due to MM updates or whatever and we need to walk).

**Obviously I am talking about expanding what we already have in spawn and elsewhere.

I like /home /spawn and the world warps. I also like events that use /warp to make it easier for people to get to the right place.

Ouch. Its gonna be quite a trek to get to my evil castle without the sarahcastle warp. There isn't a train station anywhere near there yet. Guess I'll put of my work there for now.

Don't worry, this is not an effective immediately sort of situation. Short of my moofing up the plugins last night Sad I'll leave everything working as is until I get all the new plugins installed and public transportation has caught up with us. Then I'll disable /warp when we're ready. I'm sure those who are anxious to not use warp can be patient with those who have come to rely on it a little bit longer.
