Found a vid on Pistons, I believe its official, as Jeb mentioned it "@Notch ok'ed the clip, so here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZJr86d2IUo Now I gotta run to the train!"

Anyway, heres the link. So far its looking pretty good, stable, and Im pretty sure itll be released with 1.7.

You could make a door for a mob grinder and watch the horde come through all at once. lol. Of course, lots of other stuff too!

I want to figure out how to make a ladder that can extend out of the ground. (assuming that ladders and other things will stick to blocks that are being moved)

I don't think they will. it doesn't show it in the video anyway. You can make a staircase that raises out of the ground. Currently a piston will push 12 blocks. Possibly as many as 16

If pistons still work the same way, essentially, as in the original mod, ladders would not stick to the blocks. They aren't so much being moved as being destroyed then respawned one space over.

apparently 1.7 was unstable. As I understand 1.7_1 is out already. I just need to make sure bukkit is updated. As far as I know bukkit is supposed to be good to go with the latest build so I will get us all up to date tonight when I get home.

So if you place a leaf block that you've sheared, does it not decay?

if the leaves are floating, it will only extend 5 blocks away from a base block without decaying.
