Inspiration everywhere

I thought this was funny: I had to explain what Minecraft was to my sister last weekend when we visited the Philadelphia museum of art. I must have said "I must Minecraft it!" a dozen times. There was one painting in the European 1300-1500s section of people drawing water from some kind of temple or aqueduct area with these huge walls and bridges on the shores of a river that I wanted to copy but I failed to remember the name of the work or artist. Does anyone have any sources that they recommend for inspiration on what to build? I have a ton of ideas, but I am still looking for one that I completely love.

I forgot you live so close fisch do we have anyone else who lives in this area? I live just across the bridge from Philly.

yea Era I dunno, though I am pretty sure there are at least 1 or 2 other northeasterners. My hometown is a suburb of Philly but I now live and work in Wilmington Delaware.

I get down there for work once in a while but mostly stay in jersey.

In the spirit of this post, I present today's Pop Sci RSS feed. Some pretty sweet designs there. Problem is - curvilinear + minecraft are not a good mix.

Some really cool stuff there tbt, and some of it is definitely doable and original for a Minecraft build.

Yeah #6 piqued my curiosity...grass above buildings...like a green roof. I think we need to "green" up our server and scrub our CO2 guys. I can sell carbon credits to those who need them...in the form of DIAMONDS

I love grass roofing it. There is barely a house that I dont at least think about doing that to lol.

Not that the castle exists yet. Or even a spot for it. Just in dream stage for now

I just build the crazy images inside my head.

It helps me from listening to the voices.
